Our presenter at this meeting will be Laimon
Godel. The program will be "Managing Your Business Finances like a Pro!"
A guide to the essentials of Using QuickBooks Pro.
Laimon is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
First 25 participants will receive a Trial version of the
latest QuickBooks Premier Accountants Edition.

As some of you probably know, Data World has sold off the
internet business. They have some recycled white boxes that they are
selling. They have been bench tested and work great. It would be an
opportunity for users new to Linux to "test the waters". If you could be
so kind as to mention it at the next meeting, that would be great.
Everyone is welcome to stop by the shop and test drive.
Here is some info on them:
1) P3 - 667 mhz, 256meg RAM, 20gig Hard drive, CD-ROM, with CentOS 5
(Linux) installed.
2) P3 - 733 mhz, 256meg RAM, 10gig Hard drive, CD-ROM, Ubuntu 8
installed.
3) P4 - 1.6ghz, 256meg RAM, 40gig Hard drive, DVD-ROM, CentOS 5
installed.
4)We have 2 iMac G3 PPC boxes. The have Mac System 8.6 installed but can
be reconfigured for PPC linux (Slackintosh) or upgraded to OS X.
These have a windows like interface, and come complete
with browser, email, word processor, spreadsheet and I think even a
database of sorts.
