The East Tennessee Computer Society operates on the principle of
Users Helping Users.

The East Tennessee Computer Society (ETCS), serves the greater Knoxville metropolitan area (population of 350,000), home to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lockheed Martin Marietta Energy Research Corp., Lockheed Martin Marietta Energy Systems Inc., the Tennessee Valley Authority, Alcoa, Bechtel, Nippondenso, regional operations for the U.S. Department of Energy and its many contractors, the Great Smoky Mountains, and the main campus of the University of Tennessee.

Our monthly meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 7:00 p.m.

The usual format is a brief discussion of user group activities, announcements of special deals, a question and answer session, a product demonstration or tips and tricks forum and then ever-popular drawing for door prizes. The meetings are open to the public with no charge for admission and are well attended.
